TERMS AND CONDITIONS
INTENSIVE PROGRAM CERAMIC/POTTERY

Who is it for?

This intensive training course is for who never had experience with ceramics, or those who had occasional experience and are looking to deepen their knowledge in a more complete course.

It is also suitable for those who want to belong to the studio membership and attend the studio regularly and independently, thus creating their own projects.

What does this intensive program consist of?

In the Ceramics and Pottery training courses, we'll start by learning about the ceramics process, the origin and types of clay, how to knead clay, make liquid clay and recycle clay.

In the Ceramics course, we'll work on the main modeling techniques - an introduction to the pinch, coils, slab and hollowing techniques.

In Pottery course we work exclusively with the potter's wheel. You'll learn how to center the clay, how to model it by creating concrete shapes, and how to trim all the pieces by exploring various shapes.

In both courses, we explore different finishes on the pieces, using various texture and painting techniques. You'll also learn about firing and glazing.

These are separate courses, so anyone wishing to learn all the techniques of ceramics and pottery should enrol in both courses.

There is a set programme, over 4 sessions, and the pieces we will develop are pre-defined, with the main focus on technique and the whole ceramics/pottery process. It will therefore not be possible to create different pieces or change the class programme.

Terms and conditions for rescheduling:

No refunds are given, so participants must guarantee availability for all 4 dates of the course. The dates and times are fixed and it is not possible to reschedule individual sessions if participants do not come.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the course can only be rescheduled at least 7 days before the date of the first class. If rescheduling is requested less than 7 days in advance, hALL will do its best to fill the vacancy, but if not, no refund will be possible.

If the participant cancels in the middle of the course, they will not be entitled to a refund of the enrollment.

hALL may cancel the course 7 days before the day the course begins if it does not have the minimum number of students required or if it is necessary to change the dates for internal reasons. In the event of cancellation, new dates will be available and the participant can choose according to their availability. If the participant does not have availability on the new dates proposed, hALL undertakes to refund the amount paid for the course.

Firings and collecting deadline:

hALL is not responsible for pieces that break in the kiln. Although this is rare, it can happen for any number of reasons, at any level of training.

Pieces must be collected within 30 days of the date of the last class. After this period and in the absence of a response to our contact, they become property of hALL.

Recommendations:

We advise you to bring short nails to make modelling the clay easier.

Apron (optional).
