The size of the pieces is limited to the clay available, 500g for the ceramics flash experience, 700g for the pottery flash experience and 3kg for the hug session (the piece will already be moulded at the time of the session).
We inform that any changes to the schedule can only be made at least 48 hours in advance. No refunds are made.
hALL may cancel up to 8 hours before the workshop if it does not have the minimum number of participants required for the session. On the rescheduled date, the above conditions remain. If any changes to the workshop are required by the students, the notice must be given at least 48 hours in advance.
During the workshop, each person is responsible for tidying up, maintaining and cleaning the materials and tools they used. Your workspace must be left clean after the session has finished.
hALL cannot be responsible for pieces that break in the kiln. Although this is rare, it can happen for any number of reasons, at any level of experience.
Once the piece is made, the process can take between 2 and 3 weeks to complete. It takes about 2 weeks for the piece to dry well enough to be placed in the ceramic kiln at 950º (this process takes about 24 hours), then we glaze it (1 to 2 days) and place it back in the kiln to be glazed at 1100º (24 hours).
The pieces must be collected within 30 days of the workshop date. After this period and in the absence of a response to our contact, they become the property of hALL.
-
This experience is not a workshop/class, but a free session where you can decorate and paint ceramic pieces with patterns, illustrations, different colors and more.
It is not mandatory to book a session, but we recommend pre-booking in order to guarantee a place and the studio's availability. Sessions run from 10:30am to 12:30pm and from 2:30pm to 5:30pm.
Payment is made on the day of the session and the prices are between €15 and €65, depending on the piece chosen. We accept payments in cash, bank transfer and MBWAY. No refunds. The use of all the necessary materials, paints, firing the pieces and transparent glaze are included.
If you are unable to attend on the scheduled day and time, we ask for 48 hours' notice so that we can make the space available again.
If necessary, we can reschedule the session for an alternative date, subject to the atelier's availability.
Once finished, the piece will take about a week to be finalised. The pick-up period is 30 days from the day of the session. Once the deadline has passed, the pieces become the property of hALL.
The experience is valid for all ages.

Who is it for?
This intensive training course is for who never had experience with ceramics, or those who had occasional experience and are looking to deepen their knowledge in a more complete course.
It is also suitable for those who want to belong to the studio membership and attend the studio regularly and independently, thus creating their own projects.
What does this intensive program consist of?
In the Ceramics and Pottery training courses, we'll start by learning about the ceramics process, the origin and types of clay, how to knead clay, make liquid clay and recycle clay.
In Ceramics course, we'll work on the main modeling techniques - an introduction to the pinch, coils, slab and hollowing techniques.
In Pottery course we work exclusively with the potter's wheel. You'll learn how to center the clay, how to model it by creating concrete shapes, and how to trim all the pieces by exploring various shapes.
In both courses, we explore different finishes on the pieces, using various texture and painting techniques. You'll also learn about firing and glazing.
These are separate courses, so anyone wishing to learn all the techniques of ceramics and pottery should enrol in both courses.
There is a set programme, over 4 sessions, and the pieces we will develop are pre-defined, with the main focus on technique and the whole ceramics/pottery process. It will therefore not be possible to create different pieces or change the class programme.
What is the cost and duration?
Intensive Ceramics Training: takes place over 4 separate days, 3 hours a day,
total of 12 hours. Cost 390€.Intensive Pottery Training: takes place over 4 separate days, 3 hours a day,
total of 12 hours. Cost 480€.What's included?
All the materials, tools, firing, transparent glaze and pieces developed.
A document explaining the ceramics process, vocabulary, tools and more. The program is available in Portuguese and English.
Terms and conditions for rescheduling:
No refunds are given, so participants must guarantee availability for all 4 dates of the course. The dates and times are fixed and it is not possible to reschedule individual sessions if participants do not come.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the course can only be rescheduled at least 7 days before the date of the first class. If rescheduling is requested less than 7 days in advance, hALL will do its best to fill the vacancy, but if not, no refund will be possible.
If the participant cancels in the middle of the course, they will not be entitled to a refund of the enrollment.
hALL may cancel the course 7 days before the day the course begins if it does not have the minimum number of students required or if it is necessary to change the dates for internal reasons. In the event of cancellation, new dates will be available and the participant can choose according to their availability. If the participant does not have availability on the new dates proposed, hALL undertakes to refund the amount paid for the course.
Firings and collecting deadlines:
hALL is not responsible for pieces that break in the kiln. Although this is rare, it can happen for any number of reasons, at any level of training.
Pieces must be collected within 30 days of the date of the last class. After this period and in the absence of a response to our contact, they become property of hALL.
Shipping:
The shipping of the pieces is not included on the final price of the workshop. The value for this service will depend on the weight, quantity of pieces and the country. Our team will give you a budget before proceeding, that includes the packaging and protection of the pieces, time spent preparing and the cost of the post office for shipping.
We protect the pieces as best we can, but once we send the parcel we can't control how it will be delivered, so hALL can't be held responsible for any pieces that arrive broken.Recommendations:

You must have the necessary experience to attend this course. If you do not, hALL reserves the right to cancel the current monthly fee and recommend one of the available courses so that you can deepen your knowledge.
If the clay or glaze used differs from the materials supplied by the workshop, you must inform us of the temperature characteristics and glaze your own pieces. In this case, hALL cannot be held responsible for the results. You will have to sign a disclaimer regarding firing with external materials (external firing regulations). If the glaze melts or the clay sticks to the kiln, you will be responsible for the damage and will be charged for the repair or replacement of the shelves or other damaged parts of the kiln.
If you bring your own clay and low-temperature glaze to the workshop, the firing costs will not be charged. This is only valid for pieces made and glazed in the studio.

During the sessions, you are responsible for tidying up, maintaining and cleaning the materials, tools and machines you use. Your workspace must be left clean after the end of the session, during the 3-hour period (e.g. from 10am to 1pm, the space must be left clean and clear until 1pm).
Outside materials or tools may not be left in the studio.
Rescheduling terms and conditions:
Unused hours cannot be accumulated for subsequent days or months.
It is not possible to change the day and time agreed in the current month. You must guarantee your availability to attend during the period booked. When you renew the following month's modality, you will be able to select another day and time slot, subject to availability.
If you can't make it on the day booked, you can only reschedule the session that week, and only if there are vacancies in other membership periods (if another resident drops out). If there is no availability, hALL is not obliged to reschedule the session, which is then considered to have been used.
hALL may cancel up to 24 hours before the session is due to take place, in the event of unforeseen internal circumstances. A new date will be offered according to your availability.
Renewal of the monthly fee:
If you wish to renew your monthly fee, proof of payment must be sent as a form of booking by the 25th of the previous month. After this deadline and in the absence of proof and feedback, the place is automatically made available for a new resident, thus losing priority for the following month. If there is still a vacancy after the deadline, you can contact us to reserve your place.
If you don't want to continue in the membership, unfinished pieces must be completed before the end of the monthly instalment. Once finished, you will have up to 30 days to collect them. Unfinished pieces (not ready for firing or glazing) must be collected by the last day of membership.
Once these deadlines have passed and there has been no response to our contact, they will become the property of hALL.
Firing and collecting deadlines:
hALL is not responsible for pieces that break in the kiln. Although rare, this can happen for any number of reasons, at any level of learning.
It will not be possible to leave unfinished pieces on the shelves for an indefinite period. They must be finished during the sessions so that they can be fired and completed.
There is a time limit of up to 30 days for collecting pieces left on the shelves.
Shipping
The shipping of the pieces is not included on the final price of the workshop. The value for this service will depend on the weight, quantity of pieces and the country. Our team will give you a budget before proceeding, that includes the packaging and protection of the pieces, time spent preparing and the cost of the post office for shipping.
We protect the pieces as best we can, but once we send the parcel we can't control how it will be delivered, so hALL can't be held responsible for any pieces that arrive broken. -
